Saku Sahara is a DJ and producer who needs no introduction on the French electronic scene. Dubbed the « French jungle queen » by Resident Advisor, she is one of the leading ambassadors of bass music in France and the co-founder of the Unit Soeurs collective.
Rooted in UK rave culture, blending Bass, Jungle, Footwork, and Dubstep, Saku Sahara’s signature sound is defined by its percussive elements, delivered with unparalleled passion and energy. Beyond her music, her visual references draw from diverse art forms, crafting a soft, vibrant universe infused with nods to Japanese pop culture. Her upcoming debut EP in collaboration with Shute will embody this unique fusion of genres and aesthetics that defines Saku Sahara’s world.
Since the start of her career, Saku Sahara has quickly conquered clubs (Le Sucre, Rex Club, La Machine du Moulin Rouge), festivals (Nuits Sonores, Boomtown, Les Transmusicales), and hearts alike. She has delivered legendary back-to-back sets with peers like Teki Latex and Laze and shared line-ups with iconic bass music artists such as Yung Singh, Sherelle, Mandidextrous, and Flore, to name a few.
Frequently invited for livestreams and radio sets (Keep Hush, Kiosk, Rinse, Dublab, MiaMao…), and featured on various artist compilations (Pinky Promise – © Attraction Corp / Drums Unity – © Quarantine Sonic Squad), Saku Sahara continues to infuse the bass scene with her music.
